Gnesis Rodrguez Prez is an American actress. She is known for her leading roles in Telemundo telenovelas such as Prisionera, Dame Chocolate and Doa Brbara. She also played Becky Ferrer on Days of Our Lives, and has starred in the films Man on a Ledge, Casa de Mi Padre, What to Expect When Youre Expecting, The Last Stand, Tusk and Run All Night, and provided the voice of Honey Lemon in Big Hero 6.

Rodrguez was born July 29, 1987 in Miami, Florida. Her mother, Carolina Prez, is a Cuban model. Her father, Jos Luis Rodrguez of paternal Spanish descent, is a Venezuelan actor and singer who is also known by the nickname El Puma. She speaks both English and Spanish fluently. Rodrguez has two halfsisters through her father, telenovela actresses Liliana Rodrguez and Lilibeth Morillo. When she wasyears old, she entered the Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart in Miami. She participated in school dramatic productions and, at a very young age, decided to pursue an acting career. As a teenager, she studied acting, dance and vocal preparation.
